OUR MISSION
Seeds of Justice Network, a collaborative of Catholic and faith-based individuals and groups, promotes the principles of Catholic Social Teaching and social justice in the St. Louis region and beyond.
OUR VISION
Seeds of Justice Network achieves its mission by fostering communication, collaboration, education, and advocacy among individuals and parishes in the Catholic community and with other faith-based and secular groups. In a spirit of openness and mutual respect, SOJN is nonpartisan and independent, conducts its efforts in accord with the Church’s mission of social justice, and addresses local, national, and international issues.
OUR HISTORY
The Seeds of Justice movement began in 2017. Following a two-year collaboration with Fontbonne University, "Seeds of Justice Network" (SOJN) incorporated as an independent organization in December 2020 and became an official 501(c)3 nonprofit in December 2021.
The Rev. Dr. Teresa Danieley will address the local need as one of our distinguished panelists, bringing deep expertise and community insight. An ordained Episcopal priest for over twenty-one years, Dr. Danieley serves as Champions Consultant for Missouri Jobs with Justice and Transitional Priest-in-Charge at St. Stephen’s and The Vine Episcopal Church in Ferguson. She also serves as Missioner for Public Advocacy for the Episcopal Diocese of Missouri and volunteers in multiple community roles. Her academic background includes degrees from Yale, the University of Chicago, the General Theological Seminary, and Eden Theological Seminary.
We were honored to welcome Sister Norma Pimentel, MJ, for the second event in our Planting Seeds Series. Sister Norma’s powerful witness to compassion and justice at the U.S.–Mexico border reminds us what it means to uphold human dignity in action.
Her message continues to inspire our community to plant seeds of hope, solidarity, and transformation.
