OUR MISSION
Seeds of Justice Network, a collaborative of Catholic and faith-based individuals and groups, promotes the principles of Catholic Social Teaching and social justice in the St. Louis region and beyond.
OUR VISION
Seeds of Justice Network achieves its mission by fostering communication, collaboration, education, and advocacy among individuals and parishes in the Catholic community and with other faith-based and secular groups. In a spirit of openness and mutual respect, SOJN is nonpartisan and independent, conducts its efforts in accord with the Church’s mission of social justice, and addresses local, national, and international issues.
OUR HISTORY
The Seeds of Justice movement began in 2017. Following a two-year collaboration with Fontbonne University, "Seeds of Justice Network" (SOJN) incorporated as an independent organization in December 2020 and became an official 501(c)3 nonprofit in December 2021.
We had such a wonderful experience dining with Sister Norma and the Seeds of Justice Board. The winners of our drawing were given a special opportunity to engage in conversation with our honored guests from the Incarnate Word Foundation, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, CLAM, and of course, Sister Norma herself.
The meal was delicious, but it was the conversation that truly nourished us—filled with inspiration, insight, and even a few good laughs. We are always grateful for moments like these spent with fellow justice seekers, and we look forward to more opportunities to gather, share, and grow together.
Jesus tells us to let our light shine for all to see. As Christians, we are called to be that light—showing love for one another and standing in solidarity with our sisters and brothers, especially the most vulnerable and marginalized.
Now is the time to act. Proposed Missouri legislation—SB 72 and SB 58—threatens the dignity of immigrants in our state. These bills create a harmful bounty hunter program that rewards individuals for reporting those they suspect may be undocumented. They also impose severe penalties, even making something as minor as a parking ticket a felony in certain cases.
The Dignity of the Human Person is a fundamental principle of our faith and Catholic Social Teaching. As Jesus said, “Whatever you did to the least of these, you did to me.”
Please take action NOW! Contact your Missouri Senator and urge them to vote NO on SB 72 and SB 58. A vote has not yet been scheduled, but it could come as early as next week.
Use this Legislator Lookup to find your Senator’s contact information and access more details on bills, hearings, and legislative updates.
Make your voice heard. Stand for justice. Act now.
Sister Simone Campbell shared her wisdom and experience with us. Her message of community, empathy, and active engagement deeply resonated with everyone present. She challenged us to not only listen but also to take action toward a more just and caring world.
If you missed this powerful event or want to experience her insights again, we invite you to watch the full recording on our YouTube channel, here. Let Sister Simone’s words inspire you, as they did us, to make meaningful changes in our communities.
