Jack Schuler has served in a wide range of ministries—from hospitals and high schools to international mission work in Zambia—always shaped by the people he’s served and the communities he’s grown alongside. Currently pastor at St. Cronan’s Parish, he continues to embody a deep commitment to faith, justice, and accompaniment.
Sr. Mary Ann Nestel, CSJ
Sister Mary Ann Nestel, CSJ, is a passionate advocate for social justice who has dedicated her life to education, housing, and community health. She currently serves on multiple boards, including as Chair of the St. Joseph Housing Initiative and a founding member of Carondelet Leadership Academy, working to uplift families, children, and seniors across St. Louis.
Jeff Schulenberg
Jeff Schulenberg is a retired Nestlé Purina executive who now dedicates his time to advancing racial equity and Catholic social teaching through parish and archdiocesan leadership. He serves on the Seeds of Justice Network Board and actively facilitates justice-focused ministries at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Valley Park.
Pam White
Pam White is a retired senior project manager with over three decades of experience in information management, most recently at Mastercard Worldwide. A committed parish leader and member of both the CSJA and NBSCA, Pam brings her deep faith and dedication to justice to the Seeds of Justice Network board.
Johnny Zokovitch
Johnny Zokovitch is a lifelong advocate for peace and justice, currently serving as Community Life Coordinator at St. Cronan Church. With decades of experience—including leadership at Pax Christi USA and the Gainesville Catholic Worker House—Johnny brings a deep commitment to Gospel-rooted activism to the Seeds of Justice Network.
Dee White
Dee is a devoted faith leader and healthcare executive whose passion for justice is rooted in Catholic Social Teaching and lived out through bold, community-centered action. She brings decades of experience in advocacy, parish ministry, and health information systems.
Katie Richardson
Passionate Educator at St. Joseph Academy who launched a schoolwide initiative that integrates social justice, sustainability, and advocacy, while developing partnerships across five continents.
Fr. Jerry Stookey, O.P.
Fr. Stookey, OP, has spent 50 years as a Dominican Friar dedicated to preaching the Gospel and advancing justice and peace both in the U.S. and abroad. Now as director of the St. Dominic Mission Society, he continues his lifelong commitment to mission, ministry, and the prophetic work of the Church.

Welcome to the Board, Johnny and Mary!
We are always looking for new board members. If you are interested in working to support our mission and build our network, please review our Candidate Qualifications & Considerations below.
Seeds of Justice Network benefits from the inclusion of leaders with diverse identities and lived experiences within its Board of Directors. Candidates requesting consideration to join the Board are asked to share how their personal identities and experiences shape their passion for social justice in a letter of interest. Further, candidates should consider these qualifications:
Prior Board experience is welcome and not required. We welcome emerging leaders.
Candidates must demonstrate strong commitment to social justice at all levels and willingness to champion our mission and vision.
Candidates do not need to be Catholic and should support Catholic Social Teaching.
Candidates do not need to reside in St. Louis and connection to the region is encouraged.
Candidates do not need to be previously involved with Seeds of Justice Network and are advised to review the website, sign up for the e-newsletter and engage with related social media sites (e.g., request to join the Facebook group).
Candidates should have available time to commit to six, two-hour Board meetings annually as well as to actively participate on at least one committee.
